WABC Gala Day
The WABC's inaugural Open Gala Day was an opportunity to introduce new players to the game of bridge as well as a chance for social players or those who hadn’t been to the club for a while to come and see what they were missing.
Almost one hundred people came along, among the first and keenest was one aged only 11 who is learning bridge with his grandmother, Lorraine Vanyai. Whilst he couldn't indulge in a glass of bubbles, young Alec who has been learning for about 2 years, is keen to continue in a club environment. Watch out for this young man!
Carla Sullivan was busy introducing bridge to more than twenty new players. Meanwhile, the more experienced players were having a short game of bridge. The event finished with champagne and some excellent food. Thank you to all those involved with the advertising, the food, and helping our guests, and our sponsor Aspire2Wealth.
