GALA DAY
Gala Day was a wonderful opportunity to visit the West Australian Bridge Club and learn more about the game of bridge. Be warned though, it’s addictive.
The day was based around enticing several groups of people to the club:
Never played or new to the game of bridge? Give it a try and learn the basics.
A casual or kitchen bridge player? Widen your social circle and sharpen your skills.
A member that hasn’t been for a while? Reconnect with friends and make new ones.
About 100 visitors came along to learn about or play bridge followed by some champagne and socialising. Thank you to Aspire 2 Wealth who sponsored the event.
Those learning about bridge were introduced to the game by Carla Sullivan. The Supervised section was looked after by Peter Hicks, Martin Doran and Peter Smith. The experienced players were looked after by Mark Doust.
Penni Fletcher-Hughes, husband Don, Sylvia Bray and Prue Hart were all busy on the day and leading up to the event. Don must have lost several kilos delivering flyers and even rescued a couple stuck in a garage. Enjoy the pictures.
