Junior Pairs Winners New Zealand National Congress 2022

Sandy and Jeff Veling were victorious in the Junior Pairs at the National Congress this week. 

The Junior Pairs is open to all players under a certain number of Masterpoints.  After a tough day’s play Sandy and Jeff were excited to be placed first. 

When asked about the competition they said that the pair that worried them the most were Briar Coleman (aged 11) and Alex Shan (aged 13). Briar has been playing for 3 years and Alex less than 2 years. What an amazing start for these young players and how brave to enter National Congress.

Well done Sandy and Jeff. The field are relieved that our WABC team will have too many Masterpoints to enter this competition next year.
