New Members Party

The New Members Party is a chance for our newer and mostly inexperienced players to meet and play with some of the clubs more experienced players. A very enjoyable afternoon with a glass of champagne to start the afternoon and settle any nerves, followed by a draw for partners and then a short session of bridge. There were several players venturing out from supervised for the first time and everyone coped well and seemed to be having a great time despite one or two penalty doubles.

There was more champagne and a wonderful selection of nibbles after play. Many thanks to those who brought the food and to all the experienced player for supporting the event. I think there was almost more socialising than playing during the afternoon. Welcome to the club.
