Au revoir Sheenagh

The members of WABC and invited special guests came together on Saturday 19 November for a very special bridge session. The function was a way for Members to thank Sheenagh for her contribution to the club over more than two decades and to wish her well in future endeavors.

The playing room was full and included nine past presidents. More guests arrived for the speeches later in the afternoon. Nigel Dutton spoke of Sheenagh’s contribution not only to WABC but also of her commitment to fostering and developing bridge in WA. Helen George spoke on behalf of Peter Smith and herself . As Patrons of the club they praised Sheenagh for her contribution to the evolution and growth of the Club into what it is today. Sheenagh, accustomed to speaking at WABC gatherings, entertained us all and enjoyed having the last word.

It was a joyful occasion and a time for Members, long standing friends and guests to reminisce. The party went on well into the evening. Hopefully Sheenagh will find time to grace our tables as a player.
